GELABERT “MERLOT” 2004
This deliciously pure wine is medium-bodied. Its bright red colour with purplish tinges makes it deep and inviting.
Quite intense in the nose, it is packed with rich ripe black fruit notes (cranberry and blackcurrant), which mingle with subtle smoky notes, due to its rusty ageing. All this accentuated by hints of animals and spices (clove). This wine offers intense aromas to a very expressive nose.
Steady and rich mouth-filling, never aggressive. It has a fleshy palate, with a good balance of alcohol and acidity. Very long after-taste, with a rounded fruity character that lingers on the finish.
BEST TEMPERATURE WHEN SERVED: Between 15º-17ºC
BLEND: Merlot.
FOOD PAIRING: Best with cooked meat (deer and roe deer) dishes.
